The Department of Geosciences at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, USA, invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor in Physical Geography/Human Environment with an anticipated start date of August 2019.


An outstanding individual is sought, with expertise specializing in one or some combination of climatology, paleoclimatology, big data analytics, human migration and medical geography.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent, externally-funded research program and compliment ongoing collaborative and interdisciplinary research in the Department of Geosciences and the University. Teaching duties can include introductory Earth Science, Sustaining Earth, and/or upper division undergraduate or graduate courses in the candidate’s field of interest.
