MSc or PhD student, peat expansion in Arctic tundra - Bethlehem, PA, USA

A graduate research opportunity is available in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA.

Description

An MSc or PhD student is sought to work on a newly funded project on peat expansion in Arctic tundra (TundraPEAT).

The student will receive full financial support in the form of RA, TA or fellowship for the full duration of his/her graduate studies.

A field campaign is planned in northern summer 2019 to collect samples and data near Toolik Field Station on the North Slope of Alaska.

This TundraPEAT project will be the focus of a prospective MSc student's thesis research, or part of a PhD dissertation for a PhD candidate.

This is a collaborative project of several US researchers and international partners from Europe, Canada and China.
